After receiving hundreds of requests for another book, the author of the best seller Cold Case Reopened The Princes in the Tower has finally put pen to paper again.
While researching another historical crime, ex police detective Mark Garber was struck by an old country legend relating to Elizabeth I, the daughter of Henry VIII and the last Tudor monarch.
This book details Mark's investigation into the legend.
It takes him through a nineteenth century publication that was authored by a very famous figure in literature. As Mark investigates that theory, he discovers shocking details that the original author had completely misinterpreted that leads to a conclusion that historians seemed to have glossed over for centuries.
The Secret of the Virgin Queen Cold Case Reopened eBook Mark Garber
The writing is atrocious. Every page contains grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. Run-on sentences are prevalent, as are sentence fragments treated as complete sentences. Some sentences are so badly written as to be completely unintelligible. The greater sin, however, is the complete lack of historical validity. The letters and statements quoted are taken out of context. The "assumptions" made about Elizabeth having become pregnant are ridiculous--the likelihood of that occurring in a Tudor household without someone being aware of it, and communicating it, is unlikely in the extreme.
If this is an indication of the investigatory prowess of the author, one wonders just how successful he was as a police officer.
If I could, I would give no stars to this tissue of conspiracy theories and lies.
I strongly recommend that people avoid this book and read a real history of Elizabeth and the times in which she lived.

The Secret of the Virgin Queen Cold Case Reopened eBook Mark Garber Reviews
A change from the Historical fictions Ininitially started reading about the Royalty of England and Scottland and also from watching The Tudors which sparked my interest!
I really enjoyed it. The typos could be distracting at times, but otherwise, it was a lot of fun.
While not as well researched and factual as the first book, it still remained an interesting read. I look forward to the next
Great read. Short but interesting analysis of the historical information that is available and referenced by the author.
Interesting theory -- not sure it is entirely supported by fact.
Excellent detective work! Was an easy read. I did enjoy the sleuthing & the uncovering of facts. I do put forward on thing he missed Royals (Kings & Queens) when married are put to bed by the Royal court & in the morning the Royal court will arrive to wake the couple & display the wedding night white sheets publicly, to confirm the consumation of the marriage vows. If she was suppose to be "virgin" they did this. If she was remarrying, they didn't do this but watched for her to be pregnant. The scandal of not being 'Virgin" would have ruined her & forced her from the throne.
You really need to hire a proofreader for grammar and spelling. I'm only into the first full chapter and aggravated at the mistakes.
